Graphic communication II (GDT 211) offers students to acquire knowledge and develop problem solving skill in graphic communication. Through series of lectures, research and studio practice, students will explore creative development task that include visual research, ideation, production and presentation. In addition, students will also utilise the elements and principles of design (Gestalt Principles), publish and exhibit final artworks.
OBJECTIVES
At the end of this course, you should be able to:
- Apply the fundamentals of working procedure and design management
- Comply with the design trait and art direction in producing artwork.
- Create media planning advertising graphic design and multimedia product.
- Implement project timeline, art structures and visual effectiveness in consistency of graphic design.
GRADING SCHEME
The above objectives along with class participation, completion of work, 100% attendance, punctuality and presentation will serve as the basis for grading. Inability to meet these requirements will affect final grade. Below is the detail of the carry marks for this course.
